I cannot recommend or thank Dr Chawla enough! I am only 26 years old and it was a bit of a shock when I found out I developed quite severe cataracts. However, Dr Chawla, Jenny and their team have been nothing but supportive and reassuring! I am quite a nervous patient and their kindness, patience and reassurance has gone a long way. The results of the surgery have been amazing, my vision is now excellent and better than any I expected! If you need to have cataract surgery, you need to see Dr Chawla! Thank you to Dr Chawla, Jenny and the team for everything!

Mr Chawla performed a lens exchange on my right eye in January. Unfortunately the original lens was from a batch that turned out to be faulty, causing it to mist over. I was upset about it as when I had my original lens replaced about 9 years ago due to cataracts I thought that was it and now I needed surgery with a general anaesthetic. Mr Chawla was so kind and explained everything to me and I am pleased to say all went well and I can see once again through that eye, even to read the smallest print. Many thanks to him for his expertise and kindness and also to his nurse Jenny.

Underwent a fairly minor laser procedure at Westland Medical Centre. All very efficiently done by both the centre staff and Mr Chawla and his assistant. Can highly recommend Mr Chawla and will keep his details to hand in case any future treatment is required.

My mother aged 92 has just had a cataract removed by this man and the service from him, his assistant and secretary was exemplary. She is blind in the left eye so having the cataract removed from her right eye was very important. She was shown compassion throughout the visits and procedure. Thank you Mr Chawla.

On Saturday 4th February, I attended the Spire Hartswood Hospital for a consultation with MrChawla. After registering with very helpful receptionists I was greeted by Jenny Mr Chawla’s nurse who made me feel at ease and showed me to his consulting room. After discussion and eye examination Mr Chawla explained in detail his diagnosis and that I needed a biopsy to gain certainty, what that and surgery would involve thereafter. Both Mr Chawla and Jenny were extremely helpful kind and empathetic and I feel safe in there hands for surgery and treatment.
